The San Francisco 49ers have announced their 2019 regular season schedule as well as the dates and times of their four pre-season games.

The 49ers will face NFC South and AFC North in inter-divisional divisions while continuing to face their NFC West opponents twice a year. At the opening of the team's fifth season at Levi's Stadium, San Francisco will welcome the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time.

The Niners open the regular season on the road by going to Tampa to face the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. The team will play three regular season rush hour games in 2019, including two at ESPN. Monday night football (Week 5 vs. Cleveland and Week 10 vs. Seattle) and One on FOX / NFL Network / Amazon Thursday Football (Week 9 in Arizona).

A closer look at the 2019 calendar …

· The Niners open the regular season on the road in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2009-10.

This will be the first time since 1997 that San Francisco has opened the season with consecutive road games. The opening season of this year was also in Tampa.

· The 49ers open and close the regular season on the road (week 1 in Tampa Bay and week 17 in Seattle) for the first time since 1997, when the team finished 13-3 and won the NFC West division.

· The 49ers will face four teams in 2019 who reached the playoffs in 2018 (Baltimore, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans and Seattle).

· The Pittsburgh Steelers (3rd week) and Cleveland Browns (5th week) will make their first appearance at Levi's Stadium.

· San Francisco has two games scheduled on ESPN Monday night football for the second consecutive season. The team will also face the Denver Broncos on MNF during the pre-season on Aug. 19.

Week 1 – Sunday, September 8th in Tampa Bay – 1:25 pm PT on FOX

  • The 49ers are 17-7 total against Tampa Bay, including a 5-4 record on the road.
  • San Francisco will travel to Tampa Bay for the second consecutive season and two consecutive seasons for the first time since 2010-11.
  • The Niners have won four of the last seven meetings between the two teams.
  • San Francisco opens the season in Tampa Bay for the first time since 1997. This is the first time the 49ers have visited an NFC South team in Week 1 since the division's inception in 2002.

Week 2 – Sunday September 15th in Cincinnati – 10am Pacific Time on FOX

  • San Francisco holds the series record against Cincinnati, 11-4, including a 4-2 record against the Bengals on the road.
  • The 49ers will travel to Cincinnati for the first time since 2011, when they defeated the Bengals, 13-8.

Week 3 – Sunday, September 22 against Pittsburgh – 13:25. PT on CBS

  • San Francisco holds the series record against Pittsburgh 11-10 and is 5-5 at home in the series.
  • This is the first time San Francisco has hosted Pittsburgh since losing to the Steelers, 20-3, in 2011.

Week 4 – Sunday, September 29 – BYE

  • This is the first time since 2002 that the 49ers have their BYE in week 4.
  • Since the NFL reintroduced BYE in 1990, this is only the fifth time the 49ers have had their BYE in week 4 or earlier (1990, 1996, 1998, 2002).

Week 5 – Monday October 7th vs Cleveland – 5:15 pm PT on ESPN

  • San Francisco is 7-12 in total against Cleveland and 5-5 at home.
  • The 49ers welcome the Browns for the first time since their victory over Cleveland 20-10 in 2011.
  • The Niners have a record of 48-27 on Monday night football.
  • Cleveland to San Francisco MNF for the first time in the history of the series.
  • The two teams clashed on a Monday in Cleveland on September 13, 1993 (L, 13-23).
  • The 49ers face an AFC opponent in prime time for the first time since they clashed with the Denver Broncos on the road in 2014.

Week 6 – Sunday, October 13 at the Los Angeles Rams – 1:05 pm PT on FOX

  • The 49ers have won two of three games played at the LA Memorial Coliseum since the Rams' return to Los Angeles in 2016.
  • The 49ers have a 35-33-1 lead against the Rams on the road in the all-time series.

Week 7 – Sunday October 20th in Washington – 10:00 am (Pacific Time) on FOX

  • The Niners lead the final series against Washington, 20-11-1.
  • The 49ers have won four of the last five against Washington.
  • San Francisco is visiting FedExField for the second time in the past three seasons.

Week 8 – Sunday October 27 against Caroline – 13:05 PT on FOX

  • The 49ers are 8-13 in the all-time series against Carolina and 3-7 at home.
  • San Francisco are looking for their first home win against Carolina since the Panthers win, 24-14, on October 7, 2001.
  • The 49ers host the Panthers for the first time since the start of the 2017 season at Levi's Stadium against Carolina, coach Kyle Shanahan's first match with the team.

Week 9 – Thursday October 31 in Arizona – 5:20 pm. PT on FOX / NFLN / Amazon

  • San Francisco holds the record of the series against Arizona, 29-26.
  • This is the first time since 2013 that San Francisco has Thursday Football game on the road [W, 35-11 at StL (9/26/13)].
  • Both teams face each other Thursday Football for the second time in three years, San Francisco welcoming Arizona on TNF in 2016.

Week 10 – Monday November 11 vs Seattle – 5:15 pm PT on ESPN

  • San Francisco is 16-25 in the all-time series against Seattle and 9-10 at home.
  • The Niners have won six of the last 10 home games against the Seahawks, including a 26-23 overtime win over Seattle at Levi's Stadium in 2018.
  • San Francisco faces Seattle Monday night football for the fourth time in history between the two franchises.
  • Both teams are playing prime time for the first time since 2015.

Week 11 – Sunday, November 17 – vs. Arizona – 1:05 pm PT on FOX

  • The 49ers are 17-12 at home against the Cardinals and have won six of their last 10 home games against Arizona.
  • Since the realignment of the divisions in 2002, this is the first time that the 49ers and the cardinals meet twice in three weeks.

Week 12 – Sunday November 24 vs Green Bay – 1:25 pm PT on FOX

  • The 49ers have won four of the last six games against the Packers.
  • San Francisco is 30-36-1 in the all-time series against Green Bay and 18-12-1 at home.

Week 13 – Sunday December 1 in Baltimore – 10:00 am Pacific Time on FOX

  • The 49ers are 2-4 total against Baltimore.
  • San Francisco is looking for its first win on the road against the Ravens, as the team travels to Baltimore for the first time since a match in 2011 on Thanksgiving night.
  • The 49ers are looking for their first win in Baltimore since their loss to the Baltimore Colts, 24-21, in 1969.

Week 14 – Sunday, December 8th in New Orleans – 10:00 am local time, on FOX

  • San Francisco is 48-26-2 all-time against New Orleans and 25-14 on the road.
  • The 49ers travel to New Orleans for the first time since their 27-24 overtime victory over the Saints in 2014.
  • The Niners have won two of the last three against the Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Week 15 – Sunday December 15th against Atlanta – 1:25 pm PT on FOX

  • San Francisco holds the record of the series against Atlanta, 47-31-1, and 28-11 at home.
  • The 49ers expect a 2-0 win against the Falcons at Levi's Stadium, while San Francisco beat Atlanta 17-17 in their last home game in 2015.

Week 16 – Saturday or Sunday December 21 and 22 against the Los Angeles Rams

  • The dates and times of the start of the 16th week will be announced at the latest at the following competitions of the 8th week.
  • San Francisco leads the all-time series against Rams, 69-67-3.
  • San Francisco is 6-3-1 in its last 10 home games against the Rams.
