AUSTIN, Texas – AUSTIN, Texas – It's all right for Friday with plenty of scenarios still to go as we try to get to our last 16 teams that will be going to the weekend at the Austin Country Club. Four players in the playoffs? With only 20 of the 64 players officially without any hope to advance, a lot of enthusiasm is waiting for you.

FOR ALL MARBLES

Henrik Stenson (37) vs. Jim Furyk (52) – These two veterans meet knowing that the winner is moving forward. Despite being in match play for decades, both players have never clashed. The two main winners, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson, came here.

Justin Rose (2) vs. Gary Woodland (22) – Woodland has the upper hand in this match as a tie would make him go, but he can only act from one of these two weekend players. Rose, the FedExCup champion, fought back late to win a half on Thursday, allowing her to know that a win against Woodland will be enough to move forward.

FOUR MEN?

Xander Schauffele (9) against Rafa Cabrera Bello (29) – If Cabrera Bello beat Schauffele in this match, he could force his entry into the playoffs with the former rookie of the year. This Group 9 playoff game could hold four men if Lee Westwood finds a way to beat his compatriot Tyrrell Hatton (see below). Schauffele is guaranteed at worst in playoffs where he wins.

Tyrrell Hatton (35) vs. Lee Westwood (62)– As above, Westwood can give himself a chance to reach the playoffs if he can beat Hatton. Hatton can secure at least one playoff if he wins. If Westwood wins and Cabrera Bello does the same in the match above, all four will die suddenly! Read about all the group scenarios here:

Tony Finau (14) vs. Ian Poulter (30) – A win for either player guarantees at least one playoff match to qualify against a potential Kisner / Mitchell match winner. A tie could be enough to force a four-man confrontation in group 14, but only if the aforementioned match also ends with a tie.

Kevin Kisner (48) vs. Keith Mitchell (56) – See above. Just change the names.

MUST WIN FOR TIGER

Tiger Woods (13) against Patrick Cantlay (18) – After losing to Brandt Snedeker, Woods, three-time champion, faces a tough battle to qualify for the knockout stages. First, Woods must beat Cantlay and then hope that Aaron Wise, without a win, will find a way to beat or equalize Snedeker in his match. If Wise and Woods win, Woods advances. If Wise wins and Woods wins, he will play in a playoff series with Snedeker looking for revenge. Read about Woods' loss right here.

PRIDE ONLY

Jason Day (12) against Phil Mickelson (20) – As two seeded group 12, you would have thought that this match would have been more decisive for the tournament. Instead, it's a battle of two men without a win who may be looking for a small mental advantage over the Presidents Cup. They are also aware of the implications of FedExCup. Read about it right here.
