He will do well to maintain a strike rate of 214 over a longer period of time, but his career T20 figure of 152 suggests he’s a player who can give the middle order a bit of power.

Mitchell Marsh will look to pick up where he left off in the T20I series against the West Indies where he made 219 points in five games and won five wickets. He’s been in high demand to be considered for the longer-term No.3 role and another hit streak in Bangladesh will leave the coaches with plenty to think about if Steven Smith was available for the World Cup.

Bangladesh is deprived of Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das for various reasons of injuries and bio-bubbles. They may seek to strengthen the rotational attack over what they used in Zimbabwe. Left gunsmith Taijul Islam, who has only played two T20Is before, and versatile Mosaddek Hossain are options.

The last time these teams met in a T20I was at the 2016 World Cup, where Zampa won the player of the match title. The only other time they met in Bangladesh was in 2014.

Starc needs two wickets to become the first Australian male bowler to take 50 in T20I. Zampa is just behind with 47.

Shakib starts the streak with five wickets to become the second male player to win 100 in T20I.
