James Milner scored twice in Liverpool's 3-1 win at Bradford
Liverpool continued its fast pre-season start with James Milner's first-half double-half, which helped him secure a 3-1 win at Bradford.
Milner, making his second pre-season appearance, opened the scoring with a deflected effort before adding his second-minute two minutes later from the penalty spot after Ryan Kent was shot down by Sean Scannell.
Rhian Brewster added a third just before the break, his third pre-season goal after his double against Tranmere on Thursday.
A host of changes for the second half stopped the match, but Bradford managed to find late consolation thanks to Eoin Doyle's penalty kick after Adam Lewis's fall, Clayton Donaldson.
The friendly meeting between Liverpool and Bradford will generate funds for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, a charity founded by former Liverpool defender Stephen Darby as a result of his own initiative. [motor neurone disease] diagnosis last September.
