Match Report – F Düsseldorf 1 – 4 Bay Munich

Bayern Munich advanced to the top of the Bundesliga after Kingsley Coman's first-half striker led a comfortable 4-1 victory at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Borussia Dortmund went to the top on Saturday after taking the best of Mainz, but the Bavarians were able to recover their position. Coman started them after a quarter of an hour.

He doubled his total and Bayern just before half-time, while Serge Gnabry gave the visitors a 3-0 lead in the 55th minute.

Dodi Lukebakio, who came off the bench midway through the second half, scored a goal for Dusseldorf at the last minute, but Leon Goretzka restored Bayern's three-goal cushion in injury time.

Eintracht Frankfurt missed the opportunity to consolidate fourth place after a surprise defeat of 3-1 against humble Augsburg which has moved seven points from the drop zone.

Goncalo Paciencia gave the advantage to Frankfurt in the 14th minute, but Marco Richter hit just after half an hour and was sent off.

The dismissals of Gelson Fernandes, just after the restart, dealt a fatal blow to the hopes of Frankfurt to return to the match. Michael Gregoritsch secured the victory in Augsburg six minutes from the end.

The attack of Nadiem Amiri in the 29th minute and the goal of Reiss Nelson, substitute goal, a quarter of an hour late Hoffenheim to a 2-0 win over Hertha Berlin.
