Matthijs de Ligt, star of Ajax, insists that he wants his future to be settled before the start of the pre-season, but he has been dismissed by the accusations. The possible move of Ronald Koeman to Barcelona would have an influence on his decision.
The 19-year-old should leave the Amsterdam giants this summer after a brilliant campaign during which Ajax reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Barcelona was expected to sign Ligt, but its breathtaking shape towards the end of the season drew players like Manchester United to the teenager.
The Catalans were eliminated by Liverpool in the semifinals of the Champions League and lost the Copa del Rey final against Valencia a fortnight later.
These defeats should cost Ernesto Valverde his job and Koeman was badociated with the takeover of Camp Nou.
Koeman currently manages Ligt as the boss of the Netherlands and has moved from Holland to Spain.
However, de Ligt says that Koeman's decision would not affect his decision.

"At the end of the day, you only look at yourself. he [Ronald Koeman] knows me well, but the fact that he is Dutch does not count much [if Koeman joins Barcelona], Said Ligt.
"Why does it take so long to make a decision about my future? For months I have been reporting and the transfer period has not started yet, so, good question from you. It's not that I write it. The media do that.
"I just want to finish this season first and focus on [making decision on future]. I prefer to play pre-season with my new club or with Ajax. I do not know when it will happen, but I hope it will be as soon as possible. "
