MAURIZIO SARRI has been given the green light to leave Chelsea and join Juventus for a three-year contract.
According to The Guardian, the Italian agent, Fali Ramadani, met with the Blues council yesterday and an agreement was found.
This means that Juve will pay £ 5 million in compensation to Chelsea.
Indeed, Sarri still has 12 months on the two-year contract he signed at Stamford Bridge last summer, after leaving Napoli.
Although criticized for a good part of the season, Sarri can keep his head up for completing a successful campaign in England.
Chelsea finished third in the Premier League and sank against Manchester City on penalties in the Carabao Cup final.
And they finished the year by beating Arsenal in the Europa Leauge final, ensuring Sarri's first major piece of silverware.
He now seems ready to replace Mbadimiliano Allegri in the Juventus canoe.
His compatriot won the Serie A title in five seasons with the old lady. The expectations of his successor will be great.
NEW BOSS … STILL
But for Chelsea, the usual task of finding a new manager comes back.
A potential exchange with Allegri in the opposite direction is a possible option while Javi Gracia of Watford and Nuno Espirito Santo of the Wolves are linked.
But Frank Lampard remains the favorite, which led Derby to the championship playoff final in his first season as a manager.
The news comes from the imminent departure of Sarri just hours after Real Madrid confirmed the signing of striker Eden Hazard.
Although, as Sarri, it was not a surprise, the Blues will still be a blow because they will not be able to sign a replacement this summer.
Chelsea was hit with a two-window ban by FIFA after the signing of foreign minors.
They have resigned themselves to the fact that they will no longer be able to engage players this summer, but hope they can reduce the embargo so they can recruit in January.
