The Blues boss spoke of his work with his club's target during his previous Serie A campaign, where he helped the striker to equal a long-time record.
While Gonzalo Higuain was about to arrive at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri explained how he had gotten a record season as an attacker while he was at the head of Napoli.
Higuain will not be with Chelsea for his match against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but it is hoped that an agreement to resume the loan from AC Milan will be concluded soon.
Milan is in talks to engage Gen. Krzysztof Piątek striker in his place, while Chelsea remains stuck in negotiations to return Alvaro Morata as part of a loan to Atletico Madrid.

The Spanish international hopes to leave the Blues, leaving space at the club to nominate the favorite of Sarri, Higuain.
Sarri was the manager of Naples while Higuain broke the Serie A goals record in 50 years, scoring 36 goals in a single season in 2015-16. And although Sarri claims some of this merit, he did not want to reduce Higuain's success to any particular reason, noting that the configuration of his team was well suited to Higuain's forces.

Chelsea is currently signing Leandro Paredes in a deal that could bring Zenit about £ 30 million, but they have not yet been able to push the discussions forward. Sarri was asked why he could not change training if Jorginho needed rest, instead of signing a replacement for Fabregas.
