Social Easter Sunday Reverend Kpoanu declared that Christ, through his resurrection, has brought new hope to Christians

Reverend Father Roland Kpoanu, pastor of the Christ the King Anglican Church, called on Christians to let the death and resurrection of Christ bring about in them a revival of optimism and transformation.

He said that Christ, through his resurrection, has brought to Christians new hope for the future and through them to the ends of the world to transform those who want it and those who are able.

The parish priest was delivering the homily to commemorate the resurrection of Christ at the Christ the King Anglican Church in Sakumono, Tema, on Sunday.

The parishioners, many of whom wore white clothes and intermittently wiped their white handkerchiefs, said, "Christ is risen, he is truly risen!" to signify the resurrection of Christ.

Reverend Kpoanu said he was confident that physical death could no longer distress them, but that with a deeper conviction, thanks to the power of Christ, good and grace would finally win the final victory over fear and the evil.

He said that Christians should not only pray for the healing of relationships, but also work without fear, as a people, for the restoration of hope and good relations between themselves and within society in general.

He indicated that through Jesus' power, His blood and the power of the resurrection of Christ, Christians should bring hope and purpose into their lives and into the lives of others.

Christ, the king, he proclaimed, was risen and the faith of the Christians in him should be unshakeable, saying, "Christ is the propitiation of our sins and he has badured us of his salvation, so that our faith must lead us to cleanse ourselves from our sins and repent. "

In addition, at an ecumenical service organized by the Sakumono Council of Churches on Good Friday, Reverend Emmanuel Obeng Ntow, District Minister of the Hope Congregation of the Presbyterian Church, pointed out that, through the the blood of Christ, the Christians had been redeemed and were badured of the fullness of the proclamation of Christ.
