McGill Redmen get new name

McGill University of Montreal has announced that it will change the name of its men's sports teams after calls from students, faculty and aboriginal staff, saying the name was discriminatory. The "red men" originally referred to the colors of the school, but the use of the name "Indians" began as early as 1938, and images of natives were also found on uniforms between 1981 and 1991.
