McLaren gave more details on its first UK showroom, which will open later this month on Hyde Park Lane in London. The company plans to open 35 more showrooms in 19 countries by the end of the year.
While maintenance of the iconic McLaren F1 will continue at McLaren’s headquarters in Woking, the London showroom located at One Hyde Park will be the first point of contact for sales and service of the MP4-12C and other models that the company will soon be adding to the lineup.
McLaren plans to offer what it describes as a pit stop service for MP4-12C owners, with dealers stocking at least one of each serviceable component to avoid having to wait for parts – a common experience for most supercar owners.
The London showroom will open on June 21, and the Manchester and Birmingham showrooms will also open in time for the 12C customer launch later this year. The company says it will have 32 showrooms around the world by the end of the year, with the dealer network set to grow further as the company nears its ultimate goal of producing 4,000 cars per year by the middle of the decade.
