The controversy surrounding the arrest of some journalists in modern Ghana continues to get complicated.
A medical report produced by the police hospital, according to the OneGhana movement, seems to corroborate the claims of Modern Ghana's editor-in-chief Emmanuel Ajafor Abugri that he was badaulted and tortured by National Security agents after stopping Thursday with his other colleague. .
In his story, Mr. Ajafor was tortured, head down and legs against a wall as part of the ordeal that he endured.
He testified that he was treated with a stun gun and subjected to heavy slaps. He added that more than 20 questions had been put to him and that each had been slapped.
His colleague Emmanuel Britwum, however, insisted that he (the Britwum) had never been tortured in the custody of national security.
In a statement, the OneGhana movement said, "Mr. Ajarfor was examined for the first time two days after the incident and was further examined six days later. His first visit, the day of his release, was a voluntary visit seeking to deal with his immense pain.
