North Dayi National Democratic Party (NDC) Member of Parliament Joycelyn Tetteh has been named the ninth best MP in Ghana.
The second youngest MP is also a new Member of Parliament. Francisca Oteng Mensah, MP, Kwabre East MPP, is the youngest MP.
Joycelyn Tetteh was ranked very high by her constituents, according to research conducted by Dr. Isaac Owusu-Mensah and Mr. Kaakyire Frempong of the Department of Political Science of the University of Ghana.

She told graphiconline.com that she took the work of MPs very seriously and that she was constantly improving levels of interaction and communication with her constituents.
"My constituents have given me the opportunity to serve them in Parliament and I therefore undertake to do everything in my power to make them satisfied with my work in Parliament ", she said.
"Whether I'm busy or not, I take the complaints of the voters very seriously; It is not just money, but the relationship he has with his constituents."
She added that the encouragement of the Speaker of the House, Professor Mike Ocquaye, had strengthened his self-confidence.
Ms. Tetteh defeated a Member of Parliament for the first time, George Loh, in the NDC parliamentary primaries to become the NDC's candidate in the 2016 legislative elections.
The research also named the top 10 MPs, as well as the 10 worst.

Respondents were asked to rate the performance of their MPs so far on an "excellent to very bad" scale and less than half of the 45.7% were satisfied, the majority, 52.3% were dissatisfied,
"In general, the poor performance of elected officials induces the apathy of the electorate,"The study said.
The study was conducted in 275 constituencies by interviewing 100 people from each of the constituencies. In total, 27,500 people were interviewed for the study.
