The Queen and Prince Philip were not the source of the “concerns” about Archie’s skin color, Oprah Winfrey says.

The talk show host said Prince harry had insisted that she tell people that her grandmother and grandfather were not involved.

In new clips on American television for breakfast, he also claimed the Queen had listened to “really bad” advice and was suddenly too busy to meet him at Sandringham last year.

Harry added that the British press was “inherently corrupt or racist or biased” and that racism was “largely” behind his departure from the country.

The two-hour interview – Oprah With Meghan And harry – aired on U.S. television Sunday night and went further than many expected.

New clips have now aired on CBS This Morning as the spinoff continues – all eyes on whether Buckingham Palace will give an answer.

Oprah Winfrey said Harry revealed to her who was behind the skin color comments, but that the couple didn’t want it shared.

Meghan also said she would not reveal the source as it would be too ‘damaging’ for that person.

In a new clip, Harry describes an awkward conversation with the Queen in which she told him she was no longer able to invite the couple to Sandringham as planned.

The Duke told Oprah Winfrey it happened in January 2020, days before going public with their announcement to step down as royals.

He said he believed his grandmother’s advisers gave him “really bad” advice that persuaded her to change her mind.

Harry said he called the Queen, who told him that she had “something in my journal that I didn’t know I had” – and that she was also busy the rest of the week.

Meghan also opened up about her estranged father and half-sister in another new clip from the interview.

“There was such an obsession with everything in my world including finding out about my parents and I did everything to protect it,” she told Winfrey.

She said her father denied selling her story to the newspapers when she called him before their wedding.

“I’m looking at Archie and I really can’t imagine him doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can’t imagine him so it’s hard for me to reconcile that,” Meghan said .

The Duchess said that – in contrast – her mother retained a ‘silent dignity’ for four years to protect her.

Meghan also fired her half-sister from her father’s side, Samantha Markle, who wrote a ‘tell it all’ book about her famous family member.

She said the last time she saw her was almost 20 years ago.

Winfrey told CBS she had not spoken to the couple since the interview aired, but received a text from Meghan on Sunday asking “how’s it going?” because she was putting Archie to bed and had no idea what was going on.

The talk show star said she hopes to speak to them later today.

The Duchess claimed a family member had ‘several conversations’ with Harry on the color of their child’s skin, and “what that would mean or look like”.

She also revealed that she was having suicidal thoughts, saying “I didn’t want to be alive anymore”, and denied reports that she made Kate cry before her wedding, saying “the opposite had happened” .

Prince Harry admitted to having broken up with his father and say Prince charles had stopped taking her calls for a while when the couple left for a new life in America.

The Duke of Sussex also claimed he had been ‘trapped’ in the royal system – ‘like the rest of my family’.

The couple also told Winfrey they were expecting a girl and talked about their “fairytale” life in California.

In the UK, the latest editions of newspapers have made headlines such as “Meg: I Felt Suicidal”, “Meghan Accuses Palace of Racism” and “Meghan’s bombshell: Kate Made Me Cry!”.

The US media also carried this story, and US Sky News correspondent Greg Milam said people were “astonished” at what they heard.

He said there were “gasps” when the Duchess commented on Archie’s family color.

CNN’s headline was “Bombshells in royal interview,” Fox News called the revelations “Spilling The Tea,” while The New York Times reported on Meghan’s suicidal feelings.

Social media users have so far been largely sympathetic to the Duke and Duchess.

Sky royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills said the contents of the interview prevented Buckingham Palace from not commenting and stick to the usual “never complain, never explain” rule.

What did the couple’s friends say?

Meghan has received support from her friend and tennis star Serena Williams, who was at her wedding, as well as American poet and activist Amanda Gorman.

Williams tweeted that the Duchess was her “selfless friend” who “teaches me every day what it means to be truly noble”.

Gorman, who rose to prominence after a powerful performance at Joe Biden’s inauguration, said the royal family missed the “greatest opportunity for change” and “didn’t just mistreat its light.”
