It is official; Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved into their new home at Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke and Duchess of Susbad left Kensington Palace this week as they prepare to welcome their first child together later this month.

They had to settle in the cottage in March, but were slow to relocate to accommodate the major renovations underway.

Meghan and Harry are said to have pierced a number of interior walls to make room for five large bedrooms.

All rooms have an en suite bathroom. The cottage also has a large kitchen-dining area.

Their new home marks a departure from life with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who remain at the Kensington Palace with their three children.

Meghan and Harry, who were married last year, live at Nottingham Castle in Kensington Palace since their engagement.

At the announcement of their new official residence last November, the Kensington Palace said: "Windsor is a very special place for their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence is on the estate."

Frogmore Cottage offers views of Windsor Great Park and Frogmore House, where the couple hosted their wedding reception last May.

Armed policemen were badigned to sentry boxes as part of a reinforcement of security before their arrival.

The Susbad are now the first members of the royal family not to have a base in London, but we could soon offer them an apartment in Buckingham Palace once the renovation work is complete.

Meghan is expected to give birth in April, but Kensington Palace has not yet announced the birthplace of Baby Susbad.

Options include the exclusive Lindo wing where Kate gave birth to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and where Harry was also born.

The Duke and Duchess said they did not know whether they had a boy or a girl, who would rank seventh to the throne and an eighth great-grandson to the queen.

But if the couple has a daughter, they have to pay homage by using Diana as first or middle name.
