Meghan and Prince Harry reached out to volunteers from The Mission Continues organization over the weekend, the association revealed on social media. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex provided meals to Los Angeles-based volunteers to keep them alive during their long hours of work.

Meghan and Harry’s packages were accompanied by a letter signed by the two members of the royal family.

It comes as the couple prepare for a Megxit showdown with the Queen this spring – with Harry’s beloved military titles still on the line.

The Queen still hasn’t passed on her old titles to another royal, keeping the door ajar so that Harry can retrieve them.

The couple’s letter, written to the charity that helps veterans do good, read: “In honor of his day of service, and in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all what it stood for, we want to send our thanks and gratitude to the team at The Mission Continue.

“We are very proud of all the work you do to support your community and hope you enjoy this little token of our gratitude.

“Thank you for your service – today and every day.

“We look forward to joining you soon! Stay safe and keep up the great work.”

The letter was signed with the names of the members of the royal family and their titles.

The mission continues shared a photo of the letter on social media, along with two snaps showing some of its volunteers happily displaying the boxes with the food.

The photographs were accompanied by a tweet which read: “We are honored to have the support of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as the Archewell Foundation.

“They [fueled] our LA Service Platoon volunteers with lunch yesterday so they can continue their hard work at Compton VFW [Veterans of Foreign Wars] and help those who live in the Compton community! “

Prince Harry is nothing new to The Mission Continues.

Until the end of March 2020, the Duke of Sussex held three honorary military titles.

He was appointed Chief Commodore, Small Ships and Diving, Royal Naval Command in 2006.

Two years later, he was awarded the title of Honorary Air Commander in 2008.

And in 2017, Prince Philip handed him the title of Captain General of the Royal Marines.
