MEGHAN Markle desperately wanted a "natural and natural birth" in the comfort of her home in Windsor.

But since the Duchess seems to be more than a week late and she sees no sign of her baby's arrival, Meghan is now confronted with the prospect of induced labor and birth to hospital.

The doctors warned that Meghan might have to give birth at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, 24 km from Frogmore Cottage, if there was no progress in the next 48 hours.

The induction can be offered seven to ten days after the scheduled date, although it can be left as late as two weeks if mom and baby are "in top shape".

At age 37, Meghan is considered a "geriatric" patient, which increases her risk of difficult childbirth.

The obstetrician Clive Spence-Jones, of London's Whittington Hospital, said that a study found that women over 36 years old should consider induction around their date d & # 39; childbirth.

This is because they are more at risk for complications.

Once Meghan has been induced, she will not be able to give birth at home.

"After induction, the possibilities for medical intervention during labor are more numerous, so homebirth is not recommended," Spence-Jones told the Mail on Sunday.

Older mothers are at higher risk of developing health problems, which may require additional help during childbirth.

There is also an increased risk that mothers over the age of 35 already suffer from diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, which can lead to complications during childbirth.

The Sun Sunday had previously revealed that Meghan was "nervous" about the complications and the prospect of an emergency Cesarean section.

This would have informed his decision not to have photocall shortly after birth.

WORK OF LOVE How work is induced

Induced work is an artificially started work.

It's pretty common. Every year, one in five jobs is induced in the United Kingdom.

If you are induced, you will go to the maternity ward of the hospital.

Contractions can be started by inserting a tablet (pessary) or gel into the bad.

If you have a badl tablet or gel, you may be able to go home while you wait for it to work.

On Sunday, a source told the Sun: "Meghan is worried about complications such as an emergency caesarean section and does not want to be under the pressure of having to look impeccable on the hospital steps a few hours later.

"Like any mother worried for the first time, she worries about the birth itself.

"As she is over 35, she is considered a slightly older mother – which can sometimes lead to complications.

"Meghan also has the added stress of the world's attention on it – everyone wants to have a first glimpse of the new royal addition."

It is now said that Meghan feels "at ease" while being supported by Prince Harry and his mother, Doria Ragland, as she prepares to give birth.
