– NDC secretary revealed NAM1 wanted to become NPP MP

Democratic National Congress Secretary General Johnson Asiedu Nketia said Menzgold's CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, is a member of the ruling party, the new Patriotic Party (NPP), in power.

According to Asiedu Nketia, NAM1 was a cardinal member of the NPP who wanted to become a member of parliament for the party in Awutu Senya East.

In an interview with Power FM, based in Accra, Asiedu Nketia said: "This case Menzgold, do you know that the man was planning to run for the parliamentary deputation in Kasoa under the NPP pact? He is the son of the female organizer of NPP. That's why he created the NAM mission in the region and started distributing money. "

NAM1 has been in the news for six months since Menzgold closed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The closure of Menzgold has blocked the investments of many customers, many accusing the government of the decision to close the company.

Some of the clients even stated that they had been encouraged to save with Menzgold because of a photo taken at a NAM1 meeting with Nana President Akufo-Addo at Jubilee House, which they had made believe that he was credible.

Communicators from the government and the NPP have always claimed that it was a random photograph and that NAM1 was just part of an entourage of the Ghana Football Federation that appealed to the president.

But, according to Asiedu Nketia, the government's position that he did not know that NAM1 was very surprising, considering that his mother was a women's organizer of the NPP and that he was putting on his stockings to challenge the primaries of the NPP in the riding of Awute Senya East.

"If the same NPP comes now to tell us that they do not know NAM 1, who are they cheating," He asked.

Meanwhile, CID police revealed that NAM1 had been released on bail but was still facing a lawsuit in Dubai.
