Menzgold Demo April Nana Appiah Mensah

Menzgold's customers revived their love for Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Menzgold, affectionately known as NAM1 when he was released by a court in Dubai, UAE.

A source close to Dubai told the Ghana Politics Newspaper that NAM1 was determined to pay menzgold customers when he returned to his home country and to solve his problems with the Ghana government.

The source added that NAM1 intended to seek money to pay the injured customers, but according to the court's decision, it has 30 days to pursue its case against Horizon Royal Diamonds before coming in Ghana.

Samata Gifty Bukari, Ghana's consul general in Dubai, said in an interview that the briefing of his consular affairs officer, who closely followed the NAM 1 case, suggests that NAM1 hopes to be able to settle its debts to its clients after his release.

"When NAM 1 was released on bail, I was informed that he was planning to look for money to come to Ghana and pay customers in distress," Ms. Samantha said.

Members of the Coalition of Aggrieved Menzgold Customers (CAMC) also badured NAM1 that they were behind him, as he was not entirely to blame for the unfortunate Menzgold Saga.

Again, they said that they would continually invest their funds in distressed gold distribution company, Menzgold, if their blocked funds were repaid.

"You will always need to drink water even if your only child drowns in the water; this is the order of life ", customers have justified their willingness to reinvest in Menzgold, if they recovered their money.

CAMC spokesman Timothy Binorp said that if the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulators had handled the matter more professionally, the issue would not have fallen into the hands.

The aggrieved customers say they hope to recover their money when NAM1 arrives in Ghana, saying they are willing to pay their money back to Menzgold if the company meets all the legal requirements and is allowed to do business.

Timothy Binorp said, "The government can not deny the benefits it has derived from Nana Appiah Mensah, it has at least employed youth and paid taxes, so it should not be crucified."

He added that the number of Menzgold employees currently working at home must be a cause for concern for the government.
