Disgruntled customers of the Menzgold gold distribution company say they are disappointed by President Akufo-Addo's nonchalance about their plight.
They say they are disappointed by the president's comments on this issue when he delivered his third speech on the state of the nation to parliament on Thursday.
Some of the clients were at the House of Parliament with signs saying what they said: governments inaction to help them get their money back.
"We are here deliberately to picket the president to notice our concern and what we have been going through for six months. People are not able to pay for their children 's school fees, so they went home, their rent problems here and there, while others are sick and they do not have to pay for it. can not afford to buy drugs … life has been difficult for us, "said one of the clients at Joy News Opoku Gakpo.
President Akufo-Addo described the Menzgold saga as a tragic phenomenon, since he spoke about it publicly for the first time during his presentation at SONA.
Hundreds of Ghanaians who have invested their funds with the troubled gold mining company have appealed to government to help them.
The president was unhappy that customers had ignored several warnings from regulators and urged them to learn lessons for the future.
But the injured customers are not impressed.
"We want the president to do something urgent because it's a national emergency … his comment was so brief and it's not the kind of answer the president needs, "said one of them to Joy News.
He said that they were expecting a serious answer from government this will lead to the resolution of the problem so that they recover their investments in a few days but this never happened.

Clients want the state to provide them with an update on NAM1's badets, how many badets have been confiscated and their accounts frozen.
They demand that the other two wanted leaders of the company be nominated, Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, being the subject of a lawsuit in Dubai.
