International security badyst Irbard Ibrahim urges Ghanaians to stop insulting Menzgold Ghana Limited's clients, as it would only push them into depression.
According to him, the company was able to gain the trust of people through their activities because these customers can not be labeled as greedy.
"In an island of despair, Menzgold looked like an oasis of hope for some people, but it was misleading. As a country, we should therefore do everything in our power to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. "
"These people are suffering and need help, not mockery," he added.
The CEO of Irbard Security Consult, who announced a support system for affected customers earlier this week, said that instead of giving false hope to its customers, crowdfunding should be put in place to help those in need.
"People are listening to the media, so when they come to risk suicide and depression, media personalities can muster collective funds to support the market for women and other poor people who have invested in the business."
He also urged investors to break their silence and inform their immediate family of their situation.
He said, "Cuddle your family, tell them that you are a victim, cry with her, ask them for emotional support, it will be a very good start. We are trying to dispel the stigma of investing in Menzgold: you are not greedy, you are just trying to be a savvy investor. "
Context
Nana Appiah Mensah and her gold trading company, Menzgold Ghana Limited, have been at the center of discussions in numerous discussions across the country as a result of an order from the Committee on Security and Trade to suspend operations.
Investors whose funds were frozen as a result of this order have explored several options in the hope of recovering their funds.
After several troubles, the country's security agencies issued an arrest warrant against NAM1 and sent the same notice to Interpol.
It was later learned that NAM 1 had already been arrested in Dubai in December 2018 as a result of a trade agreement that had gone awry and that it had to be the subject of a trial in court.
A delegation was sent by the government to bring NAM1 back to Ghana to be tried for many charges against him, including for defrauding under false pretenses.
The United Arab Emirates, however, refused to release the CEO of Menzgold, who also serves as CEO of Zylofon Media.
According to the UAE authorities, NAM1 would be released to return home only after being tried in Dubai for a botched gold case.
The issue has since become tainted with politics as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been beating each of the stalled investments.
