The Merck Foundation, a philanthropic organization, in partnership with Ms. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Ghana's first lady, has launched a media reward program to combat the stigma of infertility in society in Accra.

The "Merck, more than a mother" awards program, launched by Dr. Rash Kelej, Managing Director of the Merck Foundation, also announced the opening of the candidacy period for Ghana and the rest of Africa.

Dr. Kalej, who is also president of the Merck Plus "One Mom" ​​initiative, announced that the winners would be announced at the sixth edition of Merck Africa Asia Luminary, the conference annual meeting of the Foundation to be held in October 2019 in Accra, Ghana. that she would co-chair with Ms. Akufo-Addo.

She said that, for better reporting, the Foundation, in collaboration with the Ghana Association of Journalists (GJA), will organize in February 2019 the Merck Health media training for media representatives, focusing on international standards and media ethics. infertility.
