Mesut Ozil impressed by Arsenal's 2-0 win
Arsenal had a lot of positives in their 2-0 win against Newcastle on Monday night football.
There was the result itself, which placed them third in the Premier League for the first time this season. There was continuous improvement of the defense which allowed another player to win the second goal. And there were the superbly taken goals of Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette.
In addition to all this, there was also another encouraging performance of the resurgence of Mesut Ozil. The German had made headlines for the wrong reasons earlier this season, losing his place in the Arsenal team while he was trying to defeat Unai Emery, but the situation seems very different now.

Ozil has started three of the last four Premier League matches compared to any of the previous eight, and it's not hard to see why he's back in favor. Against Newcastle, he continued his impressive performances against Bournemouth and Manchester United before the international break with even more things.
It could be seen drifting from the outset in pockets of space, and with the freedom to move on the ground, it's revealed elusive thanks to its markers in black and white shirt. His performance was full of feints and skillful sensations, with a particularly eye-catching exchange with Alex Iwobi who nearly finished on a goal shortly before half-time.

That's exactly the kind of hard work that Emery asked him for. The "tension" between the two men seemed close to breaking point at times earlier this season, but Ozil was warmly welcomed by a warm handshake and supporters in the stands also expressed their gratitude. The German could have a key role to play in the run-in.
