The actor will produce the adaptation of the book published on Tuesday.

The actor turned producer and Warner Bros. have taken over the rights of fantastical African fantasy written by Marlon James, Jordan to produce adaptation through his company Outlier Society.
This contract is the first for Jordan's Outlier since the signing of a contract with the studio for the first time last month.
The agreement comes as the book, which counts Neil Gaiman as a fan, has just been released Tuesday.
The story unfolds in a fantastic Africa and sees a slave trader hire several mercenaries to find a boy kidnapped. The main character in the story is a man called Tracker. It contains giants, necromancers, witches and metamorphs.
Black Leopard, Red Wolf has been described as an African Game of thrones and is the first book of a trilogy that James, the acclaimed author of A brief history of seven murders, is writing.
James will serve as Executive Producer for the adaptation.
No writer has been hired to write a script at this stage.
Outlier Society, led by production president Alana Mayo, co-produced the Emmy-nominated HBO Films adaptation Fahrenheit 451, which earned Jordan a PGA Award. Future projects include the drama of the Second World War Liberators, the 3D series of anime style gen: LOCK, the science fiction series Raise Dion and the drama series OWN David makes the man.
Anonymous Content and Ellen Levine of Trident Media Group have negotiated the deal.
