Love Island star Michael Griffiths has been summoned by his bosses as a result of his move to reality television.

The firefighter was called to talk to his supervisors who had been in contact when he returned to the UK.

This morning, the 27-year-old told hosts Rochelle Humes and Ben Shephard that a letter had been sent asking him to "come and talk to them".

He added that he would attend the meeting when he would then return to Liverpool.

Michael had already shared his fears of being suspended from his firefighting job after being absent to take part in the show.

The boss sent a letter to the firefighter to invite him to a meeting.

In a live video on Instagram, now deleted, he mentioned the possibility of returning to work but admitted that it may not have been obvious.

Michael said, "I have to talk to work as fast as I feel, I'm going to be suspended.

"The rest is a conversation I need to have with my boss."

It is unclear when he received the letter from his bosses before or after shooting this video.

According to reports from the Daily Star, Michael's fears stem from the fact that he did not inform the fire department of his intention to go to Mallorca for the show.

A native of Liverpool, he has remained in London since he was fired from Love Island in order to perform his personal appearance duties and make reservations on television.

Michael was the third boy to enter the Love Island villa, but he was kicked out on July 21 in episode 42, though he finally admitted his feelings for the ex-girlfriend. Amber Gill.

However, the public was not convinced and was forced to leave after receiving the fewest votes.
