Michael Owen gave his predictions thanks to BetVictor ahead of a busy Premier League weekend – including Arsenal against Tottenham, Leeds United against Chelsea and Manchester United against West Ham.
Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham
This game is always a great opportunity, and with both sides in good shape, this one is designed to be an exciting game. I would expect Arsenal to have most of the territory here with Spurs hoping to catch the Gunners on the counter.
To some extent, I think it might work. However, I was very impressed with Arsenal’s midweek victory in the Europa League, and with the two playing so well I could see them come off each other.
Leeds United 1-2 Chelsea
I am really looking forward to this one. It’s Bielsa v Tuchel in what should be a fantastic tactical battle between two top managers.
Most of Leeds’ good form was before the end of the year. Since then they have been very inconsistent and have lost four of their last five Premier League games.
So it’s fair to say that the hosts need a result, however, Chelsea are a whole different animal since Tuchel arrived. The German is yet to taste defeat, with his side keeping a clean sheet in seven of their last nine Premier League appearances.
With that in mind, I think the Blues will have too much for the local team. It’s 2-1 Chelsea for me.
Crystal Palace 1-0 West Brom
West Brom has certainly made some improvements in recent weeks. With three clean sheets in their last four, the Baggies now have the appearance of a Sam Allardyce side.
Palace are now eight points above the last three, so I would say it is likely that they will play Premier League football next season.
Neither team has been in good shape to score goals so I think it will be close. That said, Palace can be quite dangerous in the future when they’re in the mood, so I’m side with the Eagles for a close win.
Everton 2-0 Burnley
Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park after a rather lackluster display in their 2-0 loss to Chelsea. However, with the best four on the horizon, the Toffees will know they need to bounce back immediately to keep those dreams alive.
Burnley arrives here knowing that barring a disaster in the break-in, they’re pretty much safe.
There is no doubt that Everton will have to be patient here, although I think they have enough to win. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was in great shape before his injury, and if he manages to get it back I think he could score in what would be a very welcome home win.
Fulham 0-2 Manchester City
I have been very impressed with Fulham recently. The Cottagers make this a real fight on the bottom and are certainly building a decent steam head. So it’s a bit unfortunate that they are meeting Manchester City this weekend.
Aside from last week’s blip against Manchester United, the Citizens have been more ruthless than ever in their quest for the title. Unfortunately for Fulham, I only see one winner here. It’s 2-0 City for me.
Southampton 1-1 Brighton
Southampton have been excellent for the periods against Manchester City in the middle of the week. The final score was probably a bit tough for the Saints and you could tell they deserved something from the game.
That said, they’ve now lost nine of their last eleven games, so it’s fair to say they need to get a win as soon as possible.
Nothing better for Brighton. Now in their worst form of the season, they are on a three-game losing streak. It’s hard for me to side with both sides here, so I’m going to draw a draw at St. Marys.
Leicester 2-0 Sheffield United
Sheffield United’s hopes of survival in the Premier League were lost several weeks ago, with players now playing more for pride than anything else. At the time of writing, it looks like Chris Wilder will be leaving the club which will be a real shame if that were to happen.
Wilder has done an incredible job as a manager and it will certainly be a great shoe to fill, given the apparent financial constraints that any new manager will have to work on.

They face a Leicester side who, despite being in the top four for most of the season, are themselves in the midst of poor form.
Having said that, a home game against the lower Premier Leagues is a huge opportunity to get back on track, and I think that’s exactly what Brendan Rodgers’ side will do here.
Wolves 0-1 Liverpool
Liverpool claimed a well-deserved UEFA Champions League home win over Leipzig in the middle of the week. The Reds are hoping this will be the catalyst for better things after a bad race lately.
Another positive point for visitors is the return of Diogo Jota. I expect him to line up against his former team and if he can regain the form he showed earlier in the season I think he will play his part in a win at Liverpool.
