The awards will be presented in London in May.

This year's British Book Awards are dominated by two US heavyweights: former First Lady Michelle Obama and President Donald Trump.

Obama's memoir, Becoming, goes hand in hand with Michael Wolff's exhibition of Fire and Fury at the White House in the non-fiction narrative category.

The book of the year will be chosen in eight categories. The winner will be announced on May 13th.

The Obama book is also nominated in the category of audio books.

The list of audiobooks also includes Milkman, of Anna Burns, who won the Booker Prize last year and will also be competing for the fiction book prize.
