Mick Schumacher said his emotions were alive when he made his first F1 laps with Ferrari on Tuesday morning in Bahrain, but the young loader soon felt comfortable with the Scuderia.
Schumacher was driving the SF90 of the Italian team at Sakhir and, although the day was disturbed by the rain, it was a promising first outing for the 20-year-old rookie.
"The emotions I can say, it's that you were really nice, it already felt like home," Schumacher said.
"It was wonderful to have these first laps and see all these guys working on the car and working with me, I felt very comfortable and I felt at home."
The performance of his F2 runner at the prancing horse of Maranello was not lost on Schumacher.
"The feeling that I had to go out and the first time on the accelerator … this thing has so much power," he added.
"I felt good and there is so much potential in the car with cornering speed and traction, that's hard to describe.

The junior Ferrari will trade garages Wednesday for its second day of testing, pbading to sister Alfa Romeo where he will put another day under the sign of F1.
