Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Monday referred to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) when presenting the mid-year budget review of 2019.

In a subtle dig at the NDC, the Finance Minister accused the opposition party of peddling blatant lies with images of it. "Legendary green book, "says the content book"many unfounded claims of infrastructure projects manufactured and constructed. "

Below is exactly what is said about the Green Paper in Parliament.

"Mr. President, once again, the Akufo-Addo government is an obedient government. We trust and obey the people who have chosen us to lead and serve. It means we listen and act responsibly and decisively in response to what people tell us.

We have looked beyond the legendary bold Green Book but many unsubstantiated claims of manufactured and constructed infrastructure projects, but in these beautiful pages for the 2016 campaign of our predecessors.

We have also heard resounding calls from people across the country since the Green Paper came into force and their calls for repairs to their roads.

My message to all these Whatsapp videos of bad roads is this: we heard you; we saw them and; we send graders, wheel loaders, asphalt pavers and road-rolling machines to repair your community roads, farm roads and highways.

We certainly will not be able to do everything during this four-year term. But we planned for them and found the money to do more than the Green Book authors did.

Dear Ghanaians, I would like to plead with you and make sure you stand, for your obedient government, the Akufo-Addo Government, will repair your roads and we will repair them; not with words and pictures, " Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Finance.
