Middlesbrough confirmed his second participation in three days with left-back Marc Bola who joined the club from Blackpool.
The club has announced the news before the last preseason game of the summer against Saint-Etienne at Riverside.
Bola started his career at Arsenal and head coach Jonathan Woodgate has been following his career for quite some time.
"Marc is another good signing for us and it's just the type of player we want here," he told Boro's website.
"There were other interested clubs, but he wanted to come here, and that's the most important thing."
Bola's signing follows the hunt for attacking midfielder Marcus Browne of West Ham on Friday night.
The two young talents of London aged 21 have the best years ahead.
Woodgate said, "Like Marcus, he's young, hungry, wants to do well and wants to play for Middlesbrough Football Club.
"I was impressed by what I saw Marc play a few years ago for Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League, and I have been making progress since then and I think it's a good thing. it's another very good choice for us. "
Bola was ruled out of the Blackpool squad before a friendly against Blackburn on Saturday and manager Simon Grayson admitted he would have given the player permission to speak to an interested club.
He said: "In the end, we gave him permission to talk to a club – or a few clubs – to see what will happen with his future.
"We think our offer has been accepted because it's the right thing to do for the football club and not for others."
Woodgate's search for new recruits will continue with a right-back, a creative midfielder and possibly an attacker on the wish list.
The transfer window closes on August 8 and the season begins on Fridays in Luton.
