Liverpool added Sporting Idrissa Doumbia midfielder to his transfer goals list, according to reports reported in Portugal.
Jürgen Klopp's team played against Sporting in pre-season and the Reds boss would have been impressed by his display as the team's presenter during the 2-2 draw in the United States.
And the Portuguese publication Record claims that the boss of Liverpool is currently following him in order to move on in the future.
It is unlikely that an agreement will be reached this summer because Liverpool is well stocked in the midfield as it is relatively inexperienced.
Doumbia, 21, played only four league games last season and made eight more appearances on the bench.
