Relatives of Mike Thalbaditis gathered to organize a vigil for him after his tragic death last weekend.

The Love Island star and former footballer was tragically found dead in a park near his home in North London on Saturday, at the age of 26.

Now his friends and family have honored him with a moving vigil in the woods of Edmonton, lighting lanterns and candles in his memory.

Friends of reality TV captured the moment of emotion that happened, sharing images of her relatives lighting their lanterns before letting them symbolically fly to the sky.

"Good night @ MikeThalbaditis Catch these lanterns in the sky".

She also posted a picture of a huge bunch of flowers resting near a tree, next to small tea tea candles and pictures of Mike and his friends.

Some of the relatives of the late reality TV star had even pinned letters on the chest, one of which contained touching words about depression.

"People who continue to look for a reason why someone is depressed, etc. never understood or knew who anybody was suffering," we read.

"You can suffer from depression even if you have all the money in the world and that life is beautiful and thriving – it's a disease that invades your mood and your thoughts."

It's heartbreaking to talk to Mike, writing: "I think you really have had a positive impact on the world – in addition to shocking a lot and causing sleepless nights, I think that can help save other lives in the future.

"I'm just sorry we could not save yours."

A spokesman for the meteorological police said: "Police were called to a park near Latymer Way, N9 at 9:28 am on Saturday, March 16, following reports of a man being hanged.

"Officers and the ambulance service from London went there and found a 20-year-old dead man.

"At this early stage, the death is not considered suspicious. The police are in the process of informing their close relatives.A file will be prepared for the coroner."
