Central Regional Minister, m Kwamena Duncan in an interview with Adom FM revealed the deception of the deputy of Effutu, the Hon. Alex Afenyo Markin, on the so-called reopening of the University of Winneba Education.
The President of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), Mr. Duncan, asked Thursday at the University of Winneba Education to close its doors due to unrest on the campus following the protest UEW students protesting their resignation as speakers.
L & # 39; Hon. Alex Afenyo Markin is featured on his Facebook page to announce: "I am pleased to inform all students that REGSEC has ordered the immediate reopening of the university. All UEW students are free to stay in the different residences. The police have been duly informed and no student will be prevented from entering the campus. I urge all students to respect the law "
Contrary to this announcement, University Clerk Paul Osei Barimah Esq issued an official statement in which he said the school was still closed, as announced Thursday.
In an interview with Adom FM, the regional minister also reiterated that the directive to close the university was still ongoing and expressed surprise as to why the deputy of Effutu would make this announcement. However, he made it clear that he was directing REGSEC and that he was therefore required to make any official announcement in case REGSEC decided to reopen the University.
The millions of questions that remain to be answered now are: "Why would the honorable Alex Afenyo have made this announcement?" "What is the member's interest in this STE problem?" In any case, is the MP responsible for publishing official statements on behalf of the University?
