Ministry of Gender to commemorate the Day of the African Child

Accra, June 11, GNA – The Ministry of
Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Children's Department,
Ghana Refugee Board, the United Nations Refugee Agency, Plan Ghana and other partners
June 16, commemorates the Day of the African Child.

The celebration is on the theme:
"Humanitarian Action in Africa: The Rights of the Child foremost".

A statement from the Ministry of Gender
and copied to the Ghana Press Agency in Accra on Tuesday, said that Ghana had played
over the years, it has hosted refugees and hosted some 13,000 refugees
and asylum seekers from different countries.

He stated that the Ghana Refugee Commission was working
in close collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Partners in
