Miss Heritage Global launched in Accra

Accra, July 11, GNA – Miss Heritage Global,
a beauty worker, was launched in Accra as part of the activities of the
celebration of "the year of the return".

The calendar of events for August 20 is scheduled
to bring 55 women from around the world to compete for the title.

Ms. Mudzithe Phiri, Business Development
Manager, Global Heritage, said that the Miss Heritage Global event began in 2013,
by Zimbabwean tourism, and for three consecutive years it has been welcomed

and develop their culture.

She said because of "the year of the return"
celebration this year, they thought it wise to organize the event in Ghana, and

more modern global society.

Ms. Phiri said "Ghana is the country
that we know we can invite people to come and really experience the authentic
African culture and also be able to explore the country's heritage ".

"When we opened the application, we
more than 70 countries interested, because Ghana had been designated as the country
everyone should visit this year. It indicates how much people are really
interested in visiting Ghana, so we reduced the number of participants
countries 55, 20 from Africa and the rest of the world ".

She noted that the 55 women were coming in as
ambbadadors to experience the local culture of Ghana and to be able to share this
experience with their different countries.

Mr. Akwesi Agyemang, Chief Executive Officer,

Mr. Kwadwo Antwi, Chief Executive Officer,
Ghana's tourism development company, which launched the event, said that she was enthusiastic
with the Miss Heritage team to answer the president's call for
Africa at home, where warmth and culture were celebrated like no other.

He said that Ghana was the quintessence of culture and
tradition.

He said that they had resorted to the marketing of Ghana
on the international market, and it was not just "the year of return",
but also to let people know that Ghana was the perfect place to have a good holiday

Mr. Antwi congratulated the Ghanaian
candidate for his nomination and wished him the best of success in the event,
