The group donated various items, including detergents, diapers, teaching materials, etc.
The Blend Group, a social media group of military and civilians on Good Friday, spent time at the Special Mothers Inclusive Center where children with cerebral palsy and their parents mingled.
The group also donated various items to children including detergents, diapers, teaching materials, drinks and toiletries to show their love for children and their families.
Adom Adwoa Addo, head of the badembly group, said the group represented peace, unity and love and was aimed at bringing happiness to humanity.
Group members had discussions with parents and primary caregivers of children with cerebral palsy, asking many questions about the disease.
Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition (brain injury) that affects the movement and sometimes the language of people. This is the number one cause of disability in children.
The Special Center for Inclusive Mothers was born from the Special Project for Mothers, an awareness and awareness program for cerebral palsy issues aimed at promoting inclusion in Ghana.
The center serves as a transition point for families who desperately need short-term care for their children.
Hannah Awadzi, Founder and Executive Director of the Special Mothers Project and the Special Mothers Inclusive Center, said the center was born out of her frustration at finding a school for her child with cerebral palsy.
According to her, many parents, especially mothers of children with cerebral palsy, are forced to leave their jobs due to lack of facilities accepting and welcoming children with cerebral palsy.
The majority of children with cerebral palsy in Ghana are denied or denied admission to primary schools because of their condition.
Ms. Awadzi called on society to accept and accept children with cerebral palsy to improve the lives of families raising children with cerebral palsy
