Mohammed Adjei Sowa joins World Convention of Mayors

Sowah, Accra Metropolitan CEO (ECM), Appointed Director
Member of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate Change and Energy (GCoM) in
United States.

As such, Mr. Sowah will work to
galvanize the climate action of cities across Africa, define the strategic direction of
organization and work to raise the voice of cities on the world stage.

GCoM is the largest coalition led by the
UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Climate Change, Mr. Micheal R.
Bloomberg, with more than 9,200 cities on six continents and 132 countries,
representing more than 800 million people in the world population.

In addition, more than 110 African cities are now
signatories to the World Covenant of Mayors, representing a total of 109
millions of people, and these cities have shown a strong desire to reduce
emissions and combat the effects of climate change.

bold local initiatives that have had a global impact.
