CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Up to five people have died of flu in the Calgary area this season.
Three hundred were hospitalized.
A sixth person in Alberta died in the north of the province.

Calgary continues to be the most affected region in Alberta with more than 1,200 confirmed cases of influenza, compared with 293 in Edmonton.

The head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at AHS explained that all international flights coming and going from Calgary are one of the reasons.
His best advice is to stay home if you have fever, pain, or just do not feel good about spreading the flu.
In Calgary, 413,000 people received their flu shots.
