It seems that Samuel Nartey George, MP for Ningo-Prampram came out unscathed from his interview with CNN and with a strengthened reputation as a defender of the “culture and values” of Ghanaians in relation to the anti-LGBTQ + bill. .
The Ghanaian social media space is filled with adulations for Sam George who has mounted a fierce defense of some MPs’ decision to sponsor the bill that seeks to criminalize homosexuality in the country.
An apparent attempt by Kenya-born CNN, reports Larry Madowo to choke Sam George on his own bill as a lawmaker, according to the estimation of most social media viewers, has stood out and has tackled problems effectively.
While he praised Sam George for articulating his position well with well-researched information on the subject, some users criticized Larry Madowo for not preparing effectively for the interview.
They observed that Madowo was not well aware of the content of the anti-LGBTQ + bill that formed the basis of the interview.
A tweet from the CNN reporter on the interview was hijacked with words of praise for Sam George and disparaging Madowo for his perceived bias as well as a few words he used on Sam George.
Below, some social media posts

This is one of the most controversial interviews I have ever done on live television. I asked a Ghanaian MP pushing an anti-LGBT bill why he wanted to legalize hatred and homophobia.
“Only 7% of Ghanaians tolerate homosexuality,” MP said @samgeorgegh told me @OneWorldCNN pic.twitter.com/vZZjcY2gCx
