I think we've already seen the point of the fastest lap add a little more interest to the last stages of the race, but I think that people fighting each other to fight are rare.
The risk of bites even when you have an upcoming pit stop is not only the risk that a bad pit stop will cost you, but also the potential cost of losing the buffer itself.
If you encounter a non-terminal technical problem that costs you seconds per turn, it could make all the difference between the top 6 and being out of the points. The same thing applies in reverse if a pilot in advance has a problem
Due to the top 10 rule and the badociated risk / reward even when you have a comfortable gap, I think pit stops specifically aimed at attacking the bonus point will become unusual.

My conclusions from Australia 2019:
1) This track is still an outlier and is never a good judge for the rest of the season, so Red Bull / Ferrari fans are not too discouraged.
2) This season again, the comfort of the car / driver with the Pirellis and the badociated wear performance will determine success, which is not what it should be. Hamilton was intrinsically faster (pole) but Bottas really liked the tires on this track, so he dominated. We are still waiting for Pirelli to provide a product that will not unduly affect the outcome of the race.
3) Norris seems to be a future star, but not Giovinazzi. Having Kimi at Alfa Romeo will be beneficial not only for them, but also to evaluate the future young Ferrari. It was too early to tell, but LeClerc in Australia was looking between Vettel and Raikonnen, so it's the right time for change.
4) The 2019 cars have a good balance of qualities and bode well for larger changes in 2021.
5) Honda and Red Bull have met at the right time and I'm expecting great things in the future of this combination. Max and Horner are happy anyway.
6) Alonso has chosen the right time to leave now and go fully to Indy to give us all a reason to follow this series too.
