Fritz! Repeater 3000 had already been presented last August at the Internationale Funkausstellung in Berlin. For a few days, you can now buy the flagship product of the WLAN extensions from the German manufacturer AVM in stationeries and online shops.

With Fritz! Repeater 3000, AVM completes the range of its range extensions for wireless networks. Its appearance differs from that of the devices previously available from the Berlin company. It is not placed directly into a power outlet, such as the 1750E or 1160, but is a relatively compact package to place on a shelf or on a sideboard. Wall mounting is not possible.
Three radio units for two frequency ranges
The new flagship product will send and receive in both WLAN frequency ranges. For this, it has three radio units (twice 5 GHz and once 2.4 GHz) and connects as the first AVM repeater via a separate band of 5 GHz with the router. As a result, customers connected to Fritz! Repeater 3000 has all the bandwidth of the two frequency ranges, the communication with the router being managed on a channel 5 GHz reserved for this purpose.
Seamless support for AVM mesh
Fritz! Repeater 3000 fits perfectly to AVM in the mesh of a Fritz! Box equipped appropriately, as the 7590th widespread. In this case, it supports all wireless settings at the touch of a button, especially those in a configured guest network. The manufacturer stresses however that the new model can be easily used with wireless routers from other manufacturers to extend the range.
High flow rates on paper
The raw data rates of the flagship AVM repeater product are impressive – at least on paper – in the 2.4 GHz band, a maximum of 400 Mbit / s is possible, the channels are used in the 5 GHz frequency range, it is the first radio device Mbit / s (4×4) and the second 866 Mbit / s (2×2). However, as with all Wi-Fi connections, net data rates will be significantly reduced as they will decrease rapidly with distance. In addition, not all devices support these high speeds.
Band Band and Gigabit LAN
The features of Fritz! Repeater 3000 is complemented by features such as tape guidance, two Gigabit LAN ports, and IPv6 support. The average power consumption is AVM with 6 watts, a maximum of 11 watts.
