More than half of German companies had an Internet connection of at least 30 Mbps in 2018 – survey

According to a survey by the Federal Statistical Office, more than half of German companies (51%) having access to the network and at least ten employees had an online connection of at least 30 Mbps in 2018.

Germany is slightly above the EU average of 48%. The number of businesses with a faster Internet connection increased by 9 percentage points over the previous year. Sweden and Denmark are at the top of the list. In 2018, three quarters of businesses have a faster Internet connection, followed by the Netherlands (70%), Portugal (69%), Greece (33%), Italy (32%). and France (31%).
