Accra March 20, GNA –
Chief Justice Sophia A. B. Akuffo described a court building as a death
pitfalls that could affect the performance of judicial staff at work
effectively.

According to her,
Ghana deserves a modern 21st century judicial service, explaining that the
service must have functioning systems, professional and ethical staff,
as well as the physical infrastructure and tools that have been conducive to the
badurance of quality justice in a timely manner.

Ms. Akuffo was
that the launch of the Electronic Justice (E-Justice) project by
President Nana Addo Darkwa Akufo Addo at the courthouse in Accra.

E-Justice also known
The paperless courts were part of the government's electronic transformation that
automate existing manual filing systems in court registries
ranging from the filing of business to the execution of court decisions.

Ms. Akuffo said he
Too many courts with miserable, deplorable and unhygienic courts
worthy of human habitation.

She said during her
toured the country, she had been "saddened, dismayed, disturbed by the
conditions in which justice is rendered and accommodation provided to our
judges and magistrates.

Ms. Akuffo said that
the nature of some courts forced it to close.

"I can not continue to
judges and staff to work in unsafe and unhealthy conditions ",
She says.

According to her, due
the urgency of the matter, the judicial service was in talks with
local authorities responsible for providing the courts with operational premises
improve those who are able to improve or replace them.

She appealed to the
President Nana Akuffo Addo, to focus on these critical issues in order to find
a viable solution.
