The 45-year-old mother and her children, both 18, were found Tuesday in a town apartment in the Floridsdorf district of the Austrian capital.
The door to the house was locked and there was no sign of burglary or violence.
A post mortem examination revealed that they had died in late March or early April and that they had died of starvation.
There was no sign that they had been poisoned.
