Motor vehicle sales in July are the worst of the past 20 years

Leading car manufacturers record July's worst sales in two decades. Automakers claim that demand for credit, rising insurance costs and economic uncertainties are weak. Maruti pbadenger car sales in July were down 37% from the previous year. Hyundai Motor India Ltd, ranked second, is down 10%. Total sales of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. fell by 16%. Sales of pbadenger vehicles have now declined 9 months in a row.
