George Mireku Duker, MP Tarkwa Nsuaem
Tarkwa Nsuaem MP George Mireku Duker is the second legislator to be trapped driving in the middle of the road to avoid traffic jams in Citi TV's "Against Indiscipline" campaign.
The MP, who holds a MSc in oil and gas management from the University of Plymouth in the UK, failed to stop when the police surprised him in violating the traffic rules on the Spintex road on Monday morning.
Cale News's Caleb Kudah reported that the MP was hot-tempered, after which he was arrested and eventually prosecuted.
Unlike his counterpart at Kade, Mr. Duker was locked in his 4 × 4 vehicle bearing WR 1900-17 registration number.
Kade MP Kwabena Ohemeng Tinyaase, arrested last week for breaking the highway code, was arrested and his driver appeared in court.
The enraged legislator was unhappy that he was arrested by law enforcement officials while he was preparing to legislate.
His driver was finally fined 960.00 GHS after his appearance in court.
