Gnfs New Image file of firefighters in training

A senior officer of the National Fire Service of Ghana (GNFS), who spoke exclusively with MyNewsGh.com under strict anonymity, lamented the interference in recruitment processes by politicians, mainly parliamentarians Boys and girls who are partying it literally turn it into 'work for boys'.

In an interview with this portal, the senior officer we do not need to name indicates that the service has become a "job for boys", making the recruitment process difficult to get through.

He spoke in response to Mr. Edwin Ekow Blankson, a fire chief's letter, asking recruits and cadet personnel on mission to return home until further notice.

"The status quo was generally to recruit and train these young men and women to serve after their training at the fire school for six months. They were instead recruited and oriented for a week, and then deployed to various stations to attach themselves.

"The banks were hired to formalize their payment method, which they did, but after four months of work, they were asked to go home. Nobody knows if those same ransacked people will be recalled. "

"Firefighting is a risky thing and this people have no knowledge yet you have sent them and they have come to support the service because the firefighters force in the country is terribly inadequate." He felt that since these people had already been hired, the government had to find ways to allow them to be recruited and paid. "They paid the first, second and third lots, but here is a letter asking the fourth batch to go home because there is no money to pay them", which he considers unfair treatment.

A letter intercepted by MyNewsGh.com last week said "End of seizure for the fourth batch of potential recruits and cadets."

According to our sources, the attachment was to last two months. A letter will then be sent to recruits for training, but this has not been the case after four months of unpaid recruits.
