As part of its educational empowerment program, MTN Ghana donated 280 scientific equipment to two selected basic schools in the Ashanti region.

The beneficiary schools were Ayeduase R / C Primary from Oforikrom Municipality and Akyawkrom M / A JHS Schools from Ejisu Municipality.

Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Regional Director of MTN, Sector North, delivered the kits to schools at separate ceremonies. It is important that children be exposed to the basic practical aspects of science learning.

"It's a little abstract if you do not expose the subject to experience," he said, adding that this is why the company felt it was necessary to support children with practical teaching materials. .

This would help to ensure practical experience on the subject in schools.

Mr Amoh said that MTN Ghana has selected 14 schools, already built or renovated throughout the country, to give them a total of 2,000 of these facilities.

He asked the authorities of the beneficiary schools to set up a regular maintenance culture and to give the children the opportunity to practice with the scientific equipment.

Mr. Opoku Ofosuhene, director of Akyawkrom M / A JHS, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), thanked MTN for this gesture and pledged to help the children to participate in training sessions. practical exercises to raise their interest in science.
