MTN Ghana employees prepare to volunteer as part of the annual staff volunteering initiative

The staff of MTN Ghana is preparing to offer its services as part of the annual staff volunteer program, called 21 Days of Y'ello Care Challenge.

The program will begin with the launch of the initiative at MTN House and in some of the company's regional offices on Monday, June 3, 2019.

All MTN 1820 personnel, whether permanent, contract or third party, should take at least three hours off during the 21-day period to do volunteer work. Volunteer work involves all levels of staff, including executives and the CEO.

This year, MTN Ghana will work with the National Youth Authority and iCode GH to organize training and skills enhancement projects. Other exciting projects with the Board of Narcotics Control and Pharmacy will be unveiled at the launching ceremony.

Samuel Koranteng, General Service Manager at MTN Ghana, commented on Yello's care program this year and said, "We are very excited about this year's Yello Care program. believe we will have a positive impact on life during the program period. "

The 21 Days of Y'ello Care Challenge is an annual employee volunteering initiative launched by the MTN Group in 2007 to encourage MTN staff to dedicate time and resources to community service for 21 days in June. The 21 Days of Y'ello Care is a competition between MTN operations around the world to determine the highest number of staff involved in volunteering and initiating projects with outstanding impact. The country where staff participation is highest and the project with the greatest impact wins $ 100,000, which should be reinvested in community projects.

Since its inception, MTN Ghana has won the WECA Regional Awards 2008 and the entire Y'ello Care Challenge for 2010 and 2011. MTN Ghana has also won the Y'ello Care ICT Project for 2013 and the Innovation Y 'Project Award. ello Care for 2014.
