Komfo Anokye University Hospital in Kumasi registered a total of 18 births on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020, and another 12 at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020.

A total of 30 births were recorded between Christmas and Boxing Day.

Of this number, six were by Caesarean section while the rest were by spontaneous vaginal birth (SVD).

Baskets
This was revealed when telecommunications giant MTN Ghana, as part of its annual ritual, handed out baskets with baby items such as diapers, baby soaps, toys and towels to the mothers of these babies.

MTN’s North Business District Acting General Manager Ms. Adwoa Baah Afrakoma Obeng said that every year as part of the season celebration, the company welcomes newborns with baskets for show them love.

She said this has become part of the company’s social responsibilities over the years.
